Frank Phillips College Baseball Team Splits vs Lamar College

The Frank Phillips College Baseball team put together a strong showing this afternoon, splitting a doubleheader against Lamar in a competitive matchup that showcased both offensive firepower and skill. 

In game one, the Plainsmen came out swinging and secured a 9-5 victory over Lamar College.  The Plainsmen set the tone early, capitalizing on timely hitting and aggressive base running to build momentum. The offense stayed consistent throughout the contest, stringing together key hits in crucial moments to extend their lead. On the mound, the Plainsmen staff did a solid job limiting Lamar's scoring opportunities, shutting down late rallies, and preserving the four-run win.  

Game two proved to be a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading runs in a high-scoring affair. Despite another strong offensive effort from Frank Phillips, Lamar edged out an 11-9 victory. The Plainsmen fought until the final inning, keeping the pressure on and refusing to back down, but ultimately fell just short. With the split, Frank Phillips continues to show its competitiveness and determination as the season rolls on, building momentum with every inning played.
