The Plainsmen Take Care of Trinidad State

The Frank Phillips College baseball team delivered an impressive performance on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader against Trinidad State College with decisive victories in both contests. 

In the first contest, the Plainsmen set the tone early and never looked back, cruising to a 9–2 win. The offense came alive with timely hits that pushed runs across the board, while the pitching staff worked efficiently to limit Trinidad State's opportunities. Strong contributions from both the starters and the bullpen kept the Trojans' lineup off balance throughout the game. 

The offensive fireworks continued in Game Two, where Frank Phillips College once again outpaced Trinidad State in a 14–9 victory. The bats were consistently productive, driving in runs in key situations and showcasing a potent lineup that threatened every inning. Big hits and aggressive baserunning helped the Plainsmen maintain control in a higher-scoring back-and-forth game. 

The sweep not only highlighted the Plainsmen's offensive capabilities but also underscored depth in both pitching and situational hitting. Back-to-back wins with run totals as high as nine and fourteen show a team growing in confidence and executing effectively in all facets of the game. The Plainsmen are off to a great start to the season!
